What's this BOUNCE A BEAN?

Yes, Bounce a Bean. Bouncing is our term for sharing a bean with someone else.

So what is a BEAN?

BEANS are our core technology. Any data item is converted to a bean which is in effect the address for that data item in the storage facility. It is simply the embedded URL address.

And because each data item, or Bean, has its own unique address, that means we can:

  • Define & control the security level for each Bean
  • Identify the Bean as to what type it is and add extra features (file, folder, album, contacts etc)
  • Tag or label each Bean for easy search
  • Report on activity for that Bean
  • Control who can receive and share that Bean.

So, when you Bounce a Bean, what you are bouncing is the authority for the recipient to access that URL and the contents of that Bean. The data item stays securely stored, not sent all over the Internet. Rather than sending a file that could be gigabyte size, you are bouncing a <10kb Bean.

You see, you never actually send out your data file – what you do is invite people in to view your file or Bean. And since you control each Bean, you can switch off that authority, change the security setting or change the content at anytime and from any device.

Totally secure. Total Control.
